How do I purchase a gun online? [top]

Purchasing a gun online is simple.  Click here for complete instructions.

Do you sell Class 3 weapons? [top]

Yes. We carry a selection of suppressors, SBR’s, and a few full automatic weapons. We can also order most suppressors and SBR’s.

What is the process for buying a Class 3 weapon? [top]

The process is very fairly simple and straightforward. You come into our shop and we will discuss what you need and provide several choices. If for instance, you decide you want to suppress a 22 LR weapon we will offer you several choices at different price points. If we have the suppressor you want in stock you would need to put down a deposit of 15% and we would assign a serial number to you. The suppressor would then be put on layaway. We would then provide all the paperwork needed and advise you on the correct way to submit the required forms. Depending on the workload at NFA the Class 3 stamp can take anywhere from four weeks to four months to be returned to us. When we get the stamp we give you a call, you come in, finish paying for the suppressor and take it with you. If we don’t have the suppressor or SBR you want we will order it and when it comes in we will start the paperwork.

How much is the transfer fee on a Class 3 weapon? [top]

We charge $50.

What happens to my deposit on a Class 3 weapon if I don't get approval? [top]

Your deposit is refunded if you are not approved. If you change your mind before your application is approved we keep your deposit.

What are the state regulations on Class III (Title 2) Weapons? [top]

Please refer to the NFA State Guidelines page for regulations on Class III (Title 2) Weapons?

Can I have a gun shipped to you that I buy on Gunbroker? [top]

Yes. Our FFL is on file with Gunbroker as well as many dealers. You would need to contact us with the name and phone number of the dealer shipping the gun. You must contact that dealer and make the arrangements for shipping your gun to us. Make sure the dealer puts your name and phone number on the FFL included with the gun. When we receive the gun we would contact you. You would then come into our shop, fill out the required paperwork, and upon passing a background check take possession of your gun.

How much is the transfer fee for having a gun transferred from out of the area? [top]

We charge $25.

What is the procedure for transferring a handgun to another person? [top]

If you both live in this area both of you would come into our shop together. We would need a Pennsylvania drivers or a PA state ID card license for each of you. The handgun would be transferred into our system. The buyer fills out a 4473 and an Application/Record of Sale. The seller signs the bottom of the Application Record of Sale. A background check is done on the buyer. If the buyer passes, he pays a $25 transfer fee and takes possession of the handgun. If the person buying the gun fails the background check then the person selling the gun must fill out a 4473 and an Application/Record of Sale. If the seller passes the background check, and pays the background check fee he would take possession of the gun. If the seller fails the background check the gun would become the possesion of East Coast Gun Sales, LLC.

Can I put a gun on layaway? [top]

Yes. We offer a six month layaway program. With a 10% down payment on your layaway, you have six months to pay off the balance with no extra costs. We require payment on a monthly basis to keep the layaway current. The monthly payment is determined by the balance due after the down payment, divided by five. If the layaway is cancelled for any reason, a $25 restocking fee will be charged by East Coast Gun Sales, LLC.

What payment methods do you accept? [top]

For over the counter sales we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, money orders, certified bank checks, personal checks, and of course cash. For phone or internet orders payment must be by credit card. We do not accept third party checks, Treasury checks, or beginning checks from a new account.

Is there a warranty on the guns you sell? [top]

New guns are warranted by the manufacturer. If there is a problem with a new gun you have three days to contact us about returning the gun. Inspect the gun before your dealer transfers the gun to you. If you discover a problem after three days it is the responsibility of the manufacturer to either repair or replace the defective gun. Each manufacturer has it's own return policy. It is listed in the instruction manual that comes with each gun and on their respective web sites. Used guns are sold as is and therefore have no warranty.

Do you charge a fee for shipping weapons and other merchandise? [top]

Yes. We charge the actual cost of shipping, including insurance, plus a small handling fee.

What type of gun do you recommend for home defense? [top]

In our opinion the best weapon for home defense is a 12 gauge shotgun loaded with either 00 buck or 4 buck. Low or managed recoil ammo is also recommended.

Do you take guns in on trade? [top]

Yes we do. We need to have the gun in front of us to evaluate its condition. Then we base our offer on the Blue Book Of Gun Values. If you trade a gun in as a deposit on a gun you put on layaway the traded gun becomes the property of East Coast Gun Sales, LLC. If your layaway is cancelled you will be reimbursed the value of the traded gun minus the $25 restocking fee.

Do you mount scopes? [top]

Yes. If you buy the gun or scope from East Coast Gun Sales, LLC we will mount the scope and bore sight it for free. The only cost would be the price of the rings and bases if needed. If you didn’t buy the gun or scope from us we charge $25 to mount and bore sight the scope.

If you don't have a gun or scope I want in stock will you special order it for me? [top]

Yes, we do special orders for most guns and scopes. We deal directly with many manufacturers. We also have contact with six wholesalers. If a gun has been discontinued we can try to find one through our normal distribution channels but we will not buy one through an online auction. If you want us to special order a gun we require a deposit based on the value of the gun. Please call the shop for complete details.
